Lifeline's History

Lifeline Community Fellowship (LLCF) is nothing but proof of God’s faithfulness, his unending love, mercy and grace to anyone who has an ear to hear, courage to act, and endurance to carry-on divine missions to the glory of God our Father.

About little over two years ago, what was but a dream, a daunting task and seemingly an impossible task rose from being a mere desire and imagination to become LLCF. God in His wisdom, committed the LLCF vision to the most unlikely, inexperienced and improbable servants, who by the grace of God put together the vision and mission of LLCF.  To the Lifeline community, the opening of the church doors on September 10th 2006, was nothing short of a miracle. Indeed, we can confess with the worship team that this far the Lord has brought us.

When we approached Bishop Dr.Armstrong Cheggeh with the question of ordination, it was perhaps the beginning of the church reality. His admonition, encouragement and guidance saw us complete the registration process. Once this was completed, we moved on to our humble beginning at Hampton Inn as a church body.

Friends, the enactment of a corporate dream is not easy. Ours has been a winding path. Knowing that we are surrounded by numerous wonderful churches, one wonders why it is necessary to open yet another one. Our main question was “what is it that is different that we are offering to our community?.  The answer to it was simple. The reason we are here is to add strength and a reaching effect to the cords of salvation net. We are only contributing to the precious effort of winning souls for Jesus Christ. Much has been done for this course, but we are convinced that it is nowhere near enough. To this end, our need for cooperation and collaboration cannot be understated.

Our presence in this particular venue is another miracle. Before we approached the Thanksgiving church leadership for worship space, we had tried various alternatives. They not only proved hard to work with but also unconvinced we were serious in our mission. By the grace of the Lord, the favor we received from the Thanksgiving church leadership wiped away our tears, conquered our fears, and encouraged us beyond description. They embraced us and showed us love in a manner we will never be able to comprehend. All that your eyes can see has been provided to us free of charge in a love package. We do not take this love for granted and may we all appreciate the Lord and the Thanksgiving church community and its leadership with a round of applause.

From here, we are growing. Our legs are getting stronger and our vision getting clearer as we dream on to get to our own church facility. We do not have the luxury of complacency nor the time to bask in the glory of past achievements. For what we have achieved together and with the help of others, we praise the Lord. For what is ahead of us in the form of tasks and challenges, we trust the Lord, who has been faithful and will ever be.

May the Lord bless us together as we dream on.
Let His love and protection abide with us for ever.

Amen.
